What does the program offer?
Tailored To Hire is not an employment agency. It houses a network of employers and job seekers, and assists with interview and resume preparation, and obtaining work clothing as necessary.
Any contributions to the community?
As a not-for-profit community program, all services offered are free and performed on a volunteer basis. The idea for Tailored To Hire came from the assistance I offered at a food pantry started by my brother, his wife, and I. Because I strongly believe that volunteering is a great way to network, fill in unemployed time periods on a resume, and counts as work experience, (all while making a difference in the community), I have even created a Facebook group solely for the purpose of listing volunteer opportunities in the area. We also have generous volunteers who will answer resume and interview questions, and offer tips, in another group.
